If you’re here, you probably already know that I do network engineering and other IT work in the Tennessee Valley (and occasionally elsewhere), and I’m passionate about it.
Will you do contract work for me?
Maybe. I am not actively seeking new clients, but if you would like me to help you out, I may consider it if:
- your organization is a non-profit;
- you work in education;
- I know you well, and you need me to rescue you from a “pickle” and/or you are giving me a “one and done” job that is firmly within my wheelhouse;
- you are building something that I find extremely cool and novel; or
- I’ve worked with you before.
If you are a non-profit organization, I might even help you out at a heavily discounted rate. (Maybe.)
I’m at least one of those bullet points. How do I set this thing up?
Either email me (contract@ this domain), or reach out to me on LinkedIn.
Will you work for me full time?
No. Sorry!
What experience do you have?
I have experience with a wide variety of network configurations, large and small. I am proficient with devices made by Cisco, Ubiquiti, Juniper, Aruba, HPE, Dell, MikroTik, and many others. My work has included:
- Whole-site public and private Wi-Fi for spaces ranging from 300 to 5000 sq. ft.
- Seamless public and private Wi-Fi throughout multiple buildings
- Extending networks to a separate building without burying new cable
- Servicing and working with buried, in-conduit, and intra-building copper and fiber optic network cable
- Voice over IP telephones
- Internet and LAN routing and switching infrastructure
More details are available on LinkedIn.
What are your qualifications?
I hold active Cisco Certified Network Professional Enterprise and Cisco Certified DevNet Professional certificates (verification codes 9a02e6974c9c403289b4d79365f7d236 and 642b1eb6058f45e187297e939cc07114), as well as other certifications (Azure, HE IPv6, etc.; certificates available upon request).
